I’m Juuso Tornberg, a mostly self-taught luthier and a graduate of the Guitar Making program at Ikaalinen College of Crafts and Design in Finland. Before enrolling in the program, I built my first steel-string acoustic guitar in a community college guitar-making course. That was when I first fell in love with building steel-string acoustics. Eager to learn more, I decided to pursue the art of lutherie. During my studies, I completed a 7-month internship with Ari-Jukka Luomaranta at AJL-Guitars.
I began my musical journey at the age of 7, and I’ve always had a passion for working with wood and hand tools. Guitar making allows me to combine both of these interests. My focus is on building steel-string acoustic guitars, and I am continually improving my skills to craft the best possible instrument for you.
