Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 2/Dec/2025

1. General

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all purchases, including webshop sales, stock guitars, and custom-built guitars from Tornberg Guitars (“we,” “us,” “our”). By purchasing a guitar from us, you agree to these Terms.

2. Orders & Payment

2.1 Stock Guitars (Guitars Readily Available) and webshop items

  • Stock guitars listed on the webshop or sold directly are available for immediate purchase.

  • Payment is due in full at the time of purchase unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • Product descriptions, photos, and specifications are provided to the best of our ability but may include natural variation due to handcrafted construction and tonewood characteristics.

2.2 Custom Guitars

  • A non-refundable deposit of 25% is required when the order is placed.

  • The remaining balance is due upon completion and before delivery or pickup.

  • Build times are estimates and may vary due to material availability, craftsmanship requirements, or unforeseen delays.

2.3 Cancellations

  • Stock guitars and goods sold in the webshop: Orders may be canceled prior to shipment for a full refund.

  • Custom guitars: The order can be cancelled only at our discretion; please inquire if needed.

3. Webshop Sales

3.1 Product Availability

Items listed on the webshop are offered subject to availability. In rare cases of simultaneous in-store and online purchases, orders may be canceled and refunded in full.

3.2 Pricing

Prices are listed in Euros (€). Tornberg Guitars reserves the right to change pricing at any time.

3.3 Checkout & Payment

Webshop purchases must be completed using the available payment methods. Orders are considered confirmed once payment is successfully processed.

3.4 Digital Errors

We reserve the right to correct errors in product descriptions, pricing, or images. If necessary, orders affected by such errors may be canceled and refunded.

4. Warranty

4.1 Five-Year Limited Warranty

All Tornberg guitars —stock and custom— include a five-year limited warranty for the original owner, covering defects in materials and craftsmanship under normal use.

This warranty does not cover:

  • Damage from improper humidity or temperature exposure

  • Normal wear, finish checking, fret wear, or aging

  • Damage from accidents, misuse, or unauthorized modifications

  • Adjustments due to climate shifts or personal playing preference

4.2 Warranty Process

  • Proof of purchase is required.

  • Tornberg Guitars will inspect the instrument and determine whether the issue is covered under warranty.

  • Covered repairs are performed at no cost to the owner; shipping costs remain the customer’s responsibility unless otherwise arranged.

  • All modifications to the guitar, including unauthorized repairs or alterations, will void the warranty.

  • Only Tornberg Guitars is authorized to perform warranty repairs.

5. Complimentary One-Year Checkup

Every Tornberg guitar includes one complimentary checkup within one year of purchase.

This includes:

  • Inspection of neck relief

  • Action and intonation check

  • Hardware check and tightening

  • Minor setup adjustments

This does not include major repairs, fret work, or structural adjustments unless covered by warranty.
The customer is responsible for any shipping costs associated with delivering the guitar for the complimentary checkup.

6. Shipping & Delivery

6.1 Webshop Orders

  • Shipping costs are calculated at checkout.

  • Customers are responsible for ensuring accurate delivery information.

6.2 General Shipping Terms

  • Customers must ensure safe packaging if returning or shipping instruments.

  • Tornberg Guitars is not responsible for damage occurring during shipping. All guitars are fully insured for their full declared value during shipping

7. Wood & Material Disclaimer

Tonewoods are natural materials. Variations in grain, color, and acoustic response are normal and not considered defects.
Acoustic guitars require proper humidity and temperature care to prevent damage.

8. Returns & Refunds

8.1 Stock Guitars and webshop items

  • Stock guitars may be returned within 14 days of taking delivery (or collecting from us), in original condition, subject to inspection.

  • The customer is responsible for return shipping unless otherwise stated.

8.2 Custom Guitars

Custom guitars cannot be returned due to change of mind. However, if the guitar does not comply and, for example, has faults or is damaged when you receive it, please contact us within 14 days of delivery (or collection) to inform us of the fault, damage, or error and to arrange for a repair. If the guitar has any issues, I will first attempt to fix the problem. If the repair is not successful, the customer may have the right to either keep the guitar at a discounted price or return it. Refunds are issued once the instrument has been resold. The 25% deposit paid at the time of ordering is non-refundable and will be deducted from the refund amount.

Please note that if the goods are incorrect due to incorrect information provided by you, rather than them not matching our description, you will not be eligible for a return or refund.

9. Liability Limitation

Tornberg Guitars is not liable for:

  • Damage due to misuse, neglect, improper storage, or unauthorized repair

  • Financial loss or loss of income resulting from the use or inability to use the instrument

Our maximum liability is limited to the instrument’s original purchase price.

10. Intellectual Property

All designs, photos, text, logos, and product descriptions created by Tornberg Guitars are protected and may not be reproduced without written permission.

11. Force Majeure

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, strikes, transportation disruptions, wars, or regulatory changes.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland.
Any disputes shall primarily be resolved through negotiation.
If no settlement is reached, disputes will be handled by the District Court of Oulu, Finland, unless mandatory consumer legislation requires otherwise.

13. Updates to Terms

These Terms may be updated at any time. The most current version will be posted on the website or provided upon request.
